Reach4Sky, Inc. is dedicated to honoring Skylar's memory by improving the lives of children and their families navigating a spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) diagnosis. Every two years, our committed swimmers and beach supporters unite for a 1-mile open-water swim to raise awareness and funds for SMA research. For over 20 years, the Wannabe Cup, a group of dedicated golfers and their families, has supported Skylar's journey while raising funds for children's charity initiatives that benefit Cure SMA. Today, there are three FDA-approved treatments and more in the pipeline, marking a significant change in the landscape of SMA support. There is so much hope for the future, but we still need to work hard to find a cure and empower children and their families affected by this diagnosis. As part of Family Programs Hawaii, Skylar's Sunny Shelter offers a safe space for vulnerable children residing in a transitional home on the Leeward Coast of Oahu to meet with their parents and guardians. This children's charity is vital for supporting families in need. Your donation helps maintain the gazebo and surrounding foliage on the property.

One of Reach4Sky’s new initiatives is improving travel for children and families living with SMA. While Cure SMA continues to advocate for accessible airplanes that allow individuals to remain in their motorized chairs—a long-term effort—we are acting now. Together with Cure SMA, we are providing Teen Travel Support Packages designed to bring comfort and safety during air travel. Each package includes: 1) ADAPTS Portable Transfer Sling, 2) Twist n Lock Stool, 3) Twist Memory Foam Travel Pillow, 4) Apple AirTag & Case Holder, and 5) Job Ticket Holders and Wire Cables. These tools help families travel with greater confidence and dignity.
