Reach4Sky Inc. honors the memory of Skylar, a bright and joyful young boy who lost his battle with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) at the age of seven. After 20+ years of "reaching for a cure" by raising funds and awareness through open water swims, benefiting Cure SMA, Reach4Sky Inc. is now a 501(c)(3) public charity. The organization aims to capture Skylar's wisdom, humor, courage, optimism, and belief that every day is a gift to be lived to the fullest by supporting vulnerable children and their families.

Skylar believed that every day is a gift, to be lived to the fullest. Reach4Sky, Inc. is passionate about honoring Skylar's memory by improving the lives of children and their families navigating a spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) diagnosis. Every two years, our dedicated swimmers and beach supporters come together for a 1-mile open water swim to raise awareness and funds. Your donation provides hope by supporting critical research to find a cure for SMA.

For over 20 years, the Wannabe Cup, a group of dedicated golfers and their families, has embraced Skylar's journey and raised funds to support the mission of Cure SMA. Today, there are three FDA-approved treatments and more in the pipeline. The landscape of SMA is changing, and there is so much hope for the future. However, there is still work to be done to find a cure and empower children and their families impacted by this disease. Every donation makes a difference.

Skylar taught those around him about hope, resilience, and the importance of family and friends. As part of Family Programs Hawaii, Skylar's Sunny Shelter offers a safe space for vulnerable children residing in a transitional home on the Leeward Coast of Oahu to meet with their parents and guardians. Your donation ensures the beauty and maintenance of the gazebo and surrounding foliage located on the property.
